What is CDPAS?
If you are looking for an alternative approach to traditional home care services, the Consumer Directed Personal Assistance Program (CDPAP) may be the right option for you. It is a Medicaid-funded program that lets self-directing consumers select, interview, hire, train, and discharge their own personal assistant(s).
If an individual is not self-directing, a family member may be appointed to act as their Designated Representative. The Designated Representative can manage the CDPAP service on behalf of the person receiving care.
What are the benefits of the CDPAP Service?
Those who participate in the CDPAP services are empowered to take an active role in their own care. Consumers can select and hire their own personal care assistants and decide what kind of help they need and when they need it.
